SAIL Amsterdam is the biggest event in The Netherlands. The first SAIL was organized in 1975 to celebrate the 700 anniversary of Amsterdam. The event was an enormous success the organizing committee decided to repeat the event in 1980. The impressive fleet of Tall Ships, historic sailing ships, marine ships and replica’s form the heart of SAIL. SAIL Amsterdam 2015 will take place on Wednesday 19th until Sunday the 23rd of Augustus 2015 in the harbour of Amsterdam.
